We believe kindergarten is a family affair. A happy and successful kindergarten depends greatly on parent involvement and we warmly invite parents to participate in the program. One of the goals of the Early Years Framework is to encourage families to contribute to the overall kindergarten program.
On Parent Sharing Days we encourage parents to share with the children an idea, interest or talent they may have. Examples are reading a favourite children’s book to them, organising a cooking activity, bringing some seedlings to plant in the garden or adding interesting bits to the pasting table.
At Robert Cochrane Kindergarten we have always had a strong sense of community. Thanks to our wonderful parent groups we have always had much input into the many aspects of the centre.
